the hilarity of being a "wrong on purpose"

6 more things to keep you occupied

Three different people have asked me: "Why the number 6?" and to be honest, it was just the number of random links I had lying around at my immediate disposal yesterday, but now-- now I feel like I should follow it up with yet another 6 links! So, for your perusing pleasure, the next batch of things to keep you busy during finals:

1. Find a way to make a real life-sized model boat kit.

From Geeky Gadgets:
The Life Sized Model Boat Kit is the creation of Swedish artist Michael Johansson, and as you can see from the photos it is based on those model kits that many of us made when we were kids, and it is actually built on a 1:1 scale based on a real boat.

2. Watch cute animations of octopi in love.
This was a 2007 Oscar-nominated short film titled Oktapodi:

3. Make a paper gingerbread house.
This tutorial by Twelve22 is already pre-designed for you-- all you have to do is print it out, then cut, fold, and glue! If you want to design your own, she also links you to a blank downloadable version of the house.

4. Drool over totoro cream puffs.

Or learn to make them yourself-- but really, wouldn't you rather just eat one of these suckers?

5. Think about what piercings you'd like to have.

I'm considering getting my lobes done a second time, or getting my right helix pierced... And for the love of all things sanitary, please don't get anything pierced by a piercing gun-- it's unhygienic and causes much more trauma to the tissue than necessary, plus its usually being wielded by someone who properly trained (think Claire's or Piercing Pagoda people, ugh). Don't believe me? Even Wikipedia agrees.

6. Dye your hair.

I've gone and changed my hair again-- its become second nature for me to re-dye every two months or so, when the roots start showing. My once-blue streak over my left ear is of course, dyed out, and I'm back to a medium ash brown, which is what looks the most natural on me, I think. Its a great way to kill time, and again, I will always suggest using Clairol's Perfect 10 dye kit, because its much faster, more efficient, with great colors and an excellent after-care conditioner-- it has never disappointed yet!

Enough for today! I have gotten nothing done, despite sleeping for 12+ hours. Join me in my procrastination... tomorrow.

I agree with the person who commented on your last "6 Procrastinations" post. Amalapropos is MY procrastination.

And I use the Perfect 10 too! It's so easy to use and the cleanup is a cinch.
